Privacy policy

Masjidah has no account, no advertising tracker and no analytics cookie. Your settings stay in your browser.

Your city and settings (calculation method, time format) are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and you can clear them anytime.

Your location: only if you tap “Use my location”. The coordinates are used to find the nearest city (on our server and, for places outside our list, via OpenStreetMap Nominatim). They are not stored.

Approximate city from your IP address: on your first visit, your IP address is sent to the GeoJS service to guess your city. Nothing is stored by Masjidah.

City search: search terms are sent to the Open-Meteo geocoding service.

Language cookie: a “lang” cookie remembers your language. It is strictly necessary and needs no consent.

Server logs: our host records technical logs (IP address, pages visited) for security, kept for a limited time.

Visit statistics: we count visits anonymously with Umami (data hosted in the European Union). No cookie is set, no personal data is stored and you are not followed across sites; we only see totals (pages viewed, country, device, referring site, clicks on the partner card).

The app has no account, no advertising and no analytics. It works offline once a city is chosen.

Location (only if you allow it): used on your phone to compute prayer times and the Qibla direction, and to name your city through your phone's geocoding service (Google on Android). It is not sent to Masjidah.

Compass: the phone's orientation sensor is read only while the Qibla screen is open.

Adhan notifications (only if you allow them): scheduled locally on your phone. No push server is involved.

City search: search terms are sent to the Open-Meteo geocoding service.

Storage: your city and settings are stored only on your phone. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
